FAMILY VISAS

PARTNER VISA OPTIONS

PARTNER VISA

(Apply Overseas)

Allows for a de facto partner or spouse to apply from overseas to live with their partner in Australia. There are 2 parts to this visa, provisional and permanent and is otherwise known as the subclass 309/100 visa. Click below.

PARTNER VISA

(Apply in Australia)

Allows for a de facto partner or spouse apply from Australia to stay here. There are 2 parts to this visa - provisional and permanent and is otherwise known as the subclass 820/800 visa. Click below.

PROSPECTIVE MARRIAGE VISA

Allows a person to stay in Australia for up to 9 months and work and study in Australia. This visa is for the purpose of a person to arrive in Australia and marry them before the visa period ends. This is the Subclass 300 Visa. Click below:

VISA OPTIONS FOR CHILDREN

CHILD VISA

(Outside Australia)

Permanent visa for children of Australians or eligible NZ citizens to move to and live in Australia with their parent. You must be outside Australia when applying for and being granted this visa. Known as the subclass 101 visa. See below for more information.

CHILD VISA

(Inside Australia)

Permanent visa for children of Australians or eligible NZ citizens to remain in Australia to live with their parent. You must be inside Australia when applying for and being granted this visa. Known as the subclass 802 visa. See below for more information.

ADOPTION VISA

(Subclass 102)

This visa allows adopted children who live outside Australia reside with their adoptive parent. It is a permanent visa for adopted children under 18 years of age. Click below to learn more.

DEPENDENT CHILD

(Subclass 445)

This visa allows a child to stay in Australia temporarily while processing the parent's permanent partner visa application. Known as the Subclass 445 Visa.

Orphan Relative Visa

(In Australia)

This allows a single child to remain in Australia if their parents are deceased or cannot be found. The child must have an eligible Australian or NZ relative. Subclass 837 Visa

Orphan Relative Visa

(Outside Australia)

Allows a single child to come to Australia (if overseas) if their parents are deceased or can't be found. The child must have an eligible Australian or NZ relative. This is the subclass 117 visa.

CARER VISAS

CARER VISA

(Outside Australia)

Permanent visa to allow you to move to Australia to care for an Australian relative with a long term medical condition. You must be sponsored by your relative or their partner for the 1st 2 years. Subclass 116 visa.

CARER VISA

(Subclass 836)

Permanent visa to allow a person to stay in Australia to care for an Australian relative with a long term medical condition. You must be sponsored for the first 2 years. Subclass 836 visa.

PARENT VISAS

Contributory Aged

Parent Visa (Temp)

Temporary visa (up to 2 years) for aged parents of Australians allowing them to stay in Australia temporarily. You must be in Australia when you apply and are granted this visa. Known as the subclass 884 visa. Click below for more details.

Contributory Aged

Parent Visa (Permanent)

Permanent Visa option for aged parents of settled Australians. You must be in Australia when you apply for and are granted this visa. Known as the subclass 864 visa, this is a permanent visa.

Contributory Parent Visa (Temporary)

2 year temporary visa for parents who have children that are Australians or eligible NZ citizens. You must be able to meet the balance of family test. This is known as the subclass 173 visa. For more details, click below.

Contributory Parent Visa (Permanent)

Permanent resident application for parents of settled Australians or eligible NZ citizens. You must be sponsored by an eligible Australian or NZ citizen. You must also meet the balance of family test. This is known as the subclass 143 visa. For more information, click below.

Parent Visa

(Subclass 103)

Permanent visa who allows a parent to move to Australia when more of their children live in Australia than any other country. This is the subclass 103 visa. Click below to learn more.

Aged Parent Visa

(Subclass 804)

Permanent visa to allow aged parents to move to Australia if more of their children live in Australia than any other country.

OTHER RELATIVE VISA OPTIONS

NZ Family Relationship Visa

Temporary Visa that allows you to stay in Australia for up to 5 years if you are Not a New Zealand citizen but are the family member or partner of one. This is the Subclass 461 visa.Click below to learn more.

Remaining Relative Visa

(Outside Australia)
